Applications are invited for Basic Certificate Course in Dramatics for Class 12 Passed Students at National School of Drama, New Delhi. The last date of application is December 1, 2024.
National School of Drama is a theatre training institute situated at New Delhi, India. It is an autonomous organization under Ministry of Culture, Government of India. It was set up in 1959 by the Sangeet Natak Akademi and became an independent school in 1975.
National School of Drama invites application to Basic three months Certificate Course in Dramatics (part time, non residential) with following specializations:
The course aims at professional training to students in the area of acting, direction and other theatre related disciplines. The course will start from 9th December 2024. Medium of instructions Hindi/English.
The course will be conducted from Monday to Friday from 02.00 PM. to 06.00 P.M. daily. The first two weeks will be a consolidated training, third and fourth weeks will be an exposition in different area of specialization for all the students. At the end of fourth week the student may choose the specialization and continue till the end of the course. Once the specialization is chosen it can not be changed for the remaining period of the course.
The selection is a two tier process. The candidate should appear for the preliminary examination, if selected then required to appear for a final examination workshop. Centre for preliminary examination and final workshop will be NSD, New Delhi.
The candidates will be intimated about date of preliminary examination through email and it will also be available on NSD website, the schedule is subject to change, study material and guidelines for the preliminary examination/audition will be available on website on 15.11.2024.
