Participate in the Essay Writing, Comic Strip and Reel Making Competitions on World Intellectual Property Day by IP4Kids. Submit by April 22!
On the occasion of World Intellectual Property Day on April 26,2025 IP4Kids, a CSR initiative of S.S. Rana & Co. is organizing various exciting competitions for school children under the global theme: “IP and Music- Feel the Beat of IP”. The theme highlights how Intellectual Property plays a crucial role in protecting music, artists and the music industry.
Music has power! Music has value!
But imagine if someone stole your song or melody and claimed it as their own. Wouldn’t you feel sad? That’s why Intellectual Property Rights exist.
Through the following competitions, IP4Kids aims to encourage the students to understand the importance of protecting music, lyrics and creativity through copyright laws and how protecting music leads to more innovation and creativity.
Students are invited to submit their creative entries in respect of the aforesaid competitions on the following topics/prompts:

Prompts for Comic Strip and Reel Making Competition |
1. Many people download songs for free. Is this fair to the people who made the music? How does piracy affect artists? 2. Some artists take parts of old songs to create new ones. When is this allowed, and when is it wrong? 3. Today, computers can compose songs. Who should own these songs— owner of the computer or no one? Why? 4. Sometimes, songs get deleted from videos because of copyright. Is this fair to musicians and video creators? 5. If a student writes a song, how can they make sure no one steals it? What steps should they take? |
The essay should be within 1200-1500* word limit. The essay should not exceed word limit.
