The Veer Gatha Project, now in its fourth edition, is back with an inspiring mission: to honor the bravery of India’s gallant soldiers and encourage young minds to reflect on the sacrifices made by our armed forces. Launched as part of the larger “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” celebration, this unique initiative aims to instill the values of courage, patriotism, and gratitude in school students across the country.
The project is part of the government’s broader effort to keep the memories of our national heroes alive, with a special focus on the recipients of the prestigious Gallantry Awards. Veer Gatha 4.0 seeks to engage students in creative activities such as essay writing, poetry, artwork, and multimedia presentations, giving them an opportunity to pay tribute to the bravery of our soldiers while expressing their thoughts on what it means to be a hero.
Participation in Veer Gatha 4.0 is open to students from Class 3 to Class 12 across all CBSE schools. They can submit their entries in various categories, including:
The platform encourages students to showcase their artistic, literary, and creative skills while reflecting on the bravery of gallant warriors who have laid down their lives or shown exemplary courage in service to the nation.

Students must submit their work via their schools, which will forward the best entries to MyGov. Participants should ensure that their entries adhere to the guidelines mentioned on the official Veer Gatha 4.0 portal.
The best submissions will receive recognition on national platforms, with selected students being invited to participate in the Republic Day celebrations in January 2025. These winners will have the opportunity to share the stage with national leaders and be honored for their contribution to this unique initiative.
