Submissions are invited for 15th Annual Summer Reading Contest by The New York Times. The last date of submission is August 16, 2024.

The New York Times is an American daily newspaper based in New York City. The New York Times covers domestic, national, and international news, and comprises opinion pieces, investigative reports, and reviews.

Students can then choose any New York Times article, essay, image, graph, video or podcast episode that sparked their interest and write a short response OR make a short video telling them why. At the end of the week, judges from the Times newsroom will pick their favorites we’ll publish the winners.

Students can enter as they always have by submitting a short written response — or they can make a video up to 90 seconds long.

The prize for winning any of our contests is having your work published on The Learning Network.
