Participations are invited for the Shree Anna Quiz by The Ministry of Education, NCERT, and MyGov. Participate by October 14, 2023!
MyGov is a citizen engagement platform launched by the Government of India on July 26, 2014 to promote the active participation of Indian citizens in their country’s governance and development. It is aimed at creating a common platform for Indian citizens to “crowdsource governance ideas from citizens”.
In 2021, India spearheaded a proposal in the United Nations to promote millets. India’s proposal was supported by 72 countries and United Nation’s General Assembly (UNGA) declared 2023 as International Year of Millets on 5th March 2021.
The International Year of Millets seeks to promote millets as a sustainable, nutritious, and climate-resilient crop while addressing food security, nutrition, and environmental challenges on a global scale. It emphasizes the importance of diversifying our food sources to build a more sustainable and resilient future.
The Ministry of Education and NCERT, in collaboration with MyGov, are hosting a quiz based on the facts and health benefits of Shree Anna (Millets). The aim of this quiz is “learning with fun”.
