The Ministry of Defence, India in collaboration with MyGov, India is organizing the Quiz on Bharat – the Mother of Democracy from January 5, 2024, to January 20, 2024, in online mode.
The Ministry of Defence is charged with coordinating and supervising all agencies and functions of the government relating directly to national security and the Indian Armed Forces. The President of India is the ceremonial commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the country.
The Ministry of Defence provides policy framework and resources to the armed forces to discharge their responsibility in the context of the defence of the country. The Indian Armed Forces (including the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and Indian Navy) and Indian Coast Guard under the Ministry of Defence are primarily responsible for ensuring the territorial integrity of India.
MyGov is an innovative platform to build a partnership between Citizens and Government with the help of technology for the growth and development of India.
MyGov is part of Digital India Corporation, a Section 8 company under the Ministry of Electronics and IT, Government of India.
As part of the Republic Day Celebrations in 2024, the Ministry of Defence, in coordination with MyGov, is conducting an online quiz competition on the topic ‘Bharat – The Mother of Democracy (भारत – लोकतंत्र की मातृका)’ from Jan 5, 2024, to Jan 20, 2024. The purpose is to instil a sense of patriotism among the youth and the masses.
The criteria for selection of successful winners will be “Maximum Correct Answers in the Shortest Time”, subject to the stipulation of 20 questions attempts and 05 minutes.
The Quiz is open for Indian Citizens aged 14 years and above.
