Submissions are invited for Poetry Competition 2023 by East Riding Festival of Words. The last date of submission is November 30, 2023.
Organised by East Riding Libraries, the Festival programme has been put together by librarians from the service, based on authors, poets and other creative writers who are popular with library members and customers.
The East Riding Festival of Words poetry competition is now open for entries. This year’s theme is ‘My perfect place’.
Your perfect place might be a comfy chair, a view in your garden, a holiday destination, or even a specific event in your life. People can make a place perfect. Just tell them what is perfect for you.
Entries will be judged by a panel of published Yorkshire poets, led by James Nash. Poems are submitted anonymously, so each entry is judged on its own merits. Winners will be invited to read their poems at a special event.
