Income Tax Quiz by the Income Tax Department of India [Online; May 1-July 31; 30 Winners; Certificates for All]: Register Now!

The Income Tax Department of India, in collaboration with MyGov, is organizing an online Income Tax Quiz from May 1, 2024, to July 31, 2024.

The Income Tax Department (also referred to as IT Department; abbreviated as ITD) is a government agency undertaking direct tax collection of the government of India. It functions under the Department of Revenue of the Ministry of Finance. The Income Tax Department is headed by the apex body, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).

MyGov is an innovative platform to build a partnership between Citizens and Government with the help of technology for the growth and development of India. MyGov is part of Digital India Corporation, a Section 8 company under the Ministry of Electronics and IT, Government of India.

Income tax plays a crucial role in fueling India’s growth by providing the government with essential revenue for infrastructure development, social welfare programs, and public services.

This Income Tax quiz is a medium through which we can encourage a basic understanding of taxation amidst a larger populace and engage with a wider audience.

The Income Tax Department, in collaboration with MyGov, intends to run this quiz in order to reach a wider section of citizens, especially the youth of the nation and educate them about the basics of direct taxation.

The Quiz is available in English and Hindi. A participant may choose either of the languages. The Quiz will have 10 (ten) multiple-choice questions, each carrying one mark. A participant will get 5 (five) minutes to complete the Quiz. There will be no negative marking.

The quiz is open to all Indian Citizens.

Each month, 10 winners will get a hamper, which will include souvenirs from the Income Tax Department and an E-certificate. All participants in this quiz will receive a participation certificate.
