The Wild Postcard Project is inviting submissions for Global Art Competition 2025. The last date of submission is June 1.
Founded in 2016, we (Angela & Eileen) started this journey in a Dublin pub, brainstorming ideas over hot chocolates on a cold and wet January evening. Within just a couple of weeks our first ever biodiversity-themed artwork competition was open for entries! A lot has happened since then, and we’ve tons of exciting plans for the future.
We coordinate nature-themed artwork competitions for kids & teens (and occasionally older humans!) at locations around the world. Winning artworks are converted into postcards, so that local biodiversity can be shared to every corner of the globe, one postcard at a time.
Since we launched in 2016, we have held ten of these competitions on four continents around the world: in British Columbia, Canada (2018); Germany (2021); Ireland (2016, 2019, 2020, 2024); Netherlands (2020); Philippines (2017); Madagascar (2018), and Alaska (2021).
The competition is open to KIDS and TEENS (ages 3-18), anywhere in the world.
You can submit your entry in one of four ways:
1. ONLINE SUBMISSION: Submit your artwork and information via our online entry form (available in English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish).
2. EMAIL ENTRIES: You can email us directly – please include the entry form information (1. Artist name + age, 2. artwork title 3. short description of artwork, 4. your favourite biodiversity, 5. contact details of parent/guardian) and artwork image as attachments to your email to: wildpostcardproject@gmail.com
3. BY POST: You can post your entries to us at our HQ in Dublin, Ireland (just make sure it’s postmarked by 1 June 2025):
Please include the entry form information.
4. DROP-OFF LOCATIONS: We have drop off locations available in some countries. Please contact us via email if you wish to drop off your entries.
All winning artworks will be turned into postcards (so your local biodiversity can be sent around the world!). Other prizes will be announced in the coming weeks.
