The Ministry of Civil Aviation, India in collaboration with MyGov, India is organizing the Darbhanga-Gateway to Mithila Selfie Contest. The last date for submission of entries is August 30, 2023.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation in India is the nodal ministry responsible for the formulation of national policies and programmes for the development and regulation of civil aviation.
MyGov is a citizen engagement platform launched by the Government of India on July 26, 2014, to promote the active participation of Indian citizens in their country’s governance and development.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India (GoI) launched the National Civil Aviation Policy 2016 (NCAP 2016) which aims to enhance regional air connectivity. As part of this Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS)-UDAN was launched. The full form of UDAN is Ude Desh ka Aam Nagarik and aims to develop smaller regional airports to allow common citizens easier and affordable access to aviation services.
Darbhanga Airport has emerged as the top airport in the country under UDAN Regional Connectivity Scheme and to celebrate this, the Ministry of Civil Aviation is organizing a selfie contest Darbhanga-Gateway to Mithila to bring out the best of Darbhanga Airport for the world to see.
The competition is open to all Indian citizens.
The top 20 participants will be rewarded with INR 500/- each.
The winners will be declared and disseminated by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and will be informed on the MyGov Blog.
