The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national-level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by the Government of India. Established in 1929 by a resolution of the government, the Board was an experiment towards inter-state integration and cooperation in the sphere of secondary education. There are more than 27,000 schools in India and 240 schools in 28 foreign countries affiliated with the CBSE. All schools affiliated with CBSE follow the NCERT curriculum, especially those in classes 9 to 12. The current Chairperson of CBSE is Rahul Singh, IAS.
The Subroto Cup Football Tournament is one of India’s most prestigious inter-school football competitions, conducted annually by the Subroto Mukerjee Sports Education Society under the aegis of the Air Force Sports Control Board. It brings together champion school teams from across all States and Union Territories for a spirited contest of skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
In keeping with this proud tradition, CBSE will once again be organizing the CBSE Pre-Subroto Cup Football Tournament 2025 to select teams for participation in the main Subroto Cup Football Tournament.
The winners at the national level will earn the prestigious opportunity to represent CBSE at the Subroto Cup Football Tournament 2025, organized by the Air Force Sports Control Board.
Schools wishing to host the CBSE Pre-Subroto Cup Football Tournament 2025 can apply online at CBSE Organizing Schools Application by 01 May 2025 (3 PM).
