CARA Poster Making Competition

CARA Poster Making Competition

Submissions are invited for CARA Poster Making Competition. The last date of submission is November 30, 2024.

Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) is an autonomous and statutory body of Ministry of Women and Child Development in the Government of India. It was set up in 1990. It is a statutory body under Juvenile Justice Act, 2015.

India has multiple adoption laws. Traditionally, the 1956 Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act (HAMA), adoption, subject to the requirements and rigors of the Act, is available in India to Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Sikhs, and others subject to Hindu family law or custom. For others, the 1890 Guardians and Wards Act applies, but which provides only guardianship, not adoption, for those not subject to Hindu family law or custom. CARA primarily deals with the adoption of “orphaned, abandoned and surrendered” children through recognised adoption agencies.

Family or a family like environment is most conducive for a child and every child has the right to grow in such an environment, Foster Care and Foster Adoption is the process of finding Family for Foster child. CARA, in collaboration with MyGov , is inviting citizens to participate in Poster Design Contest.

The Poster Making Competition is aimed to reach the masses through creative means and involvement of public at large and creating an awareness on how fostering a child can change their whole world and build a safe & loving future.

The competition is open for all Indian citizens.

The Top 15 Winners will be rewarded with the Rs 3000/- each.
