About CBSE
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by the Government of India. Established in 1929 by a resolution of the government, the Board was an experiment towards inter-state integration and cooperation in the sphere of secondary education. There are more than 27,000 schools in India and 240 schools in 28 foreign countries affiliated to the CBSE. All schools affiliated to CBSE follow the NCERT curriculum especially from class 9 to 12. The current Chairperson of CBSE is Rahul Singh, IAS.

As we navigate the rapidly evolving technological landscape, it is crucial for educators to stay informed about the latest advancements in emerging technologies like AI, their potential applications in education, future developments and their implications for teaching and learning.
In this regard, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is pleased to announce a special session in collaboration with IBM, to provide educators with insights into emerging technologies and their impact on education.
The schools can register for participating in this Special Session on ‘Emerging Tech and Education’ to be held in virtual (online) mode as per the details mentioned below:
- Date: 18th October 2024 (Friday).
- Timings: 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM IST.
- Duration: 1 Hour.
- Topic: Emerging Tech and Education.
- Guest Speaker: Eminent Speaker from the IBM global team.
This session is open to all educators across CBSE-affiliated schools.
Heads of all the schools affiliated with the Board must attend along with their teachers (especially Computer Science/IT teachers, STEM educators, AI educators and others etc.).
