About IDIA (Hyderabad Chapter – NALSAR)
Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access to Legal Education (IDIA) is a non-profit organisation working in India that aims to empower underprivileged and marginalised children by giving them access to quality legal education.
IDIA sensitises students from across the country to Law as a career option, selects underprivileged and marginalised students with an aptitude for law, trains them, and provides scholarships to the students on gaining admission to law schools. IDIA not only enables access to legal education but also fosters diversity at the leading law schools, thereby enriching the very process of legal education.
The Hyderabad Chapter of IDIA is run by students of NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad.
About the Internship
The Hyderabad Chapter is looking for a scribe for one of our IDIA Scholars, Manugonda Soumya, who is visually impaired and requires a scribe for her upcoming exam on December 1, 2024. She is currently a student at NLU Jodhpur and will be appearing for the CLAT PG exam.
The exam is scheduled to take place in Hyderabad and the duration is from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. While this period requires physical presence in Hyderabad, Soumya will also require 2-3 hours of your time in the 5 days leading up to the exam to practice giving the paper with a scribe. This practice can be done online as well.
We are in need of a scribe who has not yet completed 12th grade. The scribe should not be a law student, and must not be affiliated to any test-preparatory organisation or examination coaching centre. Travel expenses will be reimbursed by IDIA. A certificate of volunteering with IDIA shall be provided to the scribe.
