About Central TB Division
The Central TB Division (CTD) is the technical arm of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). The Deputy Director General-TB (DDG-TB), is the head of the CTD, leading technical implementation of National TB Elimination Programme nation-wide.
Contest Details
India has the worldβs highest tuberculosis (TB) burden, with an estimated 28 lakh people contracting the disease every year. TB usually affects the most economically productive age group of society. The stigma attached to TB also acts as a hindrance in seeking care.
The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare is implementing an ambitious National Strategic Plan to End TB Epidemic in India. While considerable progress has been made in this direction, there are significant challenges that require community participation to address the problem statement that once addressed will expedite Indiaβs achievement of SDG TB targets on TB.
In reference to thisΒ Central TB Division, theΒ Ministry of Health & Family WelfareΒ in collaboration withΒ MyGovΒ is hosting a Slogan Contest to tap the creativity of community members in developing slogans to address the problem statement.
The main objectives of the slogan writing competition are to:
- Create awareness among audience/community members about Tuberculosis.
- Encourage the audience to creatively express their ideas on solutions to the specific problem statement mentioned above.
- To motivate participants to seek knowledge about TB and help in making India TB-free.
Eligibility
This competition is open to all the citizens of India.
Technical Parameters
- The slogan should be original.
- It should be simple in language and can be in both English and Hindi.
- The slogan should be grammatically correct and in short sentences with a word limit of 15 words.
- The slogan should address the specific problem statement shared above.
- Only one slogan per candidate will be eligible.
- Entries with more than one slogan will be disqualified.
Gratification
- First prize:Β Rs 5,000/-
- Second prize:Β Rs 3,000/-
- Third prize:Β Rs 2,000/-
- The next 5 entries will receive Certificate of appreciation from the Central TB Division, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
