The teachers are really experienced and professional. They give us more practical and relatable answers to any questions that we ask them. They are also very understanding and friendly. They’re also strict but they know when they have to be strict and when to be friendly. Teachers generally don’t hit students, unless the student is seriously misbehaving.
Since the school reopened after COVID-19, many teachers have been giving us written work in the form of PDFs to do at home instead of completing it in class, and this has become burdensome. Additionally, there are times when they are unable to answer a question immediately, but they promise to provide the answer the next day if they don’t know it right away.
Our school has almost all the amenities someone would want a school to have, a big enough library, a gym, a basketball court, a cricket ground, a football ground, a covered badminton court, and everything one would need. The classes are also air-conditioned and the school is big and equipped with almost all the equipment.
The school also has underground parking which is big, like really big, also, every part of the building is covered with CCTV cameras so there’s no reason to worry about it and every floor, has at least 3-4 peons which take care of the students and make sure that mishaps don’t take place.
Some bad things are, our school doesn’t have a lift which is kind of bad when your class is on the 3rd floor, and only the classes on the 3rd floor have air conditioning facilities. Also, our school doesn’t have a swimming pool. But that’s not a big problem.
The positive aspect of the teacher-to-student ratio is that there are enough teachers to handle the classrooms. Since we have a large number of students in the school, they are divided into 6-7 sections for each class. This makes it easier for the teachers to manage. Moreover, every staff room is equipped with a television that displays live footage from the classrooms, providing an additional reason not to worry.
The only problem is that the classes assigned to the teachers are sometimes far away from the teacher which takes the teacher at least 2-3 minutes to come to the classes which sometimes makes it hectic for the class monitors to control the classrooms. It happens very rarely though as the monitors are responsible.
The school is equipped with ATAL Tinkering Labs (ATL) Labs (an initiative of the Government of India) which allows all the students to ideate, innovative, and create which is a very good thing that allows students to reach new heights and gives them a lot of opportunities. The school also participates in a lot of Interschool and National Competitions which gives the students a lot of exposure and experience.
Some things I would like to change if I could are: the school should have an elevator as sometimes it becomes difficult to climb all the floors. Also, I would have also made some space for a swimming pool because, in this era, it’s part of the necessity.
I would have also increased the size of the auditorium as it’s a little smaller than what it should be and the last thing would be Air Conditioning in all the classes as it’s a boon for the students who are studying in such weather.
