Marigold Senior Secondary School, Gurgaon.
Parents as it was in their locality.
The teachers were so helpful. They used to treat me so well that I wanted to stay with them when I was a child. They are knowledgeable and dedicated to teaching students. They know how to connect with the students. They were humble and well-spoken. I share great memories with that school.
Some teachers were very strict. They used to hit the students when in a rage. They were very strict about homework. They used to engage students less with students. The participation of students was less. Related to this, there were very less class-related fun activities.
The infrastructure of the school was excellent. It had all the basic amenities that were required for the school. The classrooms were big enough and had proper lighting with fans. There were game equipment available and the assembly area was our playground!
The teacher-to-student ratio is decent. It is 30-35 students to 1 teacher approximately. I would say besides this student-to-teacher ratio the quality of education provided was commendable. Also, teachers could focus on students individually where the student can benefit the most.
This above-mentioned student-to-teacher ratio could be reduced further. It is known well that a lower strength of students allows teachers to strengthen the weaknesses of students and also cater for their needs. The number of teachers was proportionate to the strength of the students.
Since I was a very small child when I studied in this school. So, students of the primary wing are handled with the utmost care – there used to be assistants who would help me use the washrooms. Also, there were so many fun activities for students to perform. They encouraged the students to participate more and more.
I wish there was less burden of homework. More focus on realising the actual potential of students. Also, there should be classes marked outside rooms. When I was in this school, I was asked to call someone from the ABC class and XYZ section. So, I was introverted here, I did not know about the class. Rather I was roaming here and there for about 15-20 minutes on the same floor. Then, some students of my class came and I went back with them. It was embarrassing for me!
