Applications are invited for Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship Program 2024 for Minorities by Govt. of West Bengal. The last date of application is March 31, 2024.
West Bengal is a state in the eastern portion of India. It is situated along the Bay of Bengal, along with a population of over 91 million inhabitants within an area of 88,752 km2 (34,267 sq mi) as of 2011.
WBMDFC was established in 1996 as per West Bengal Act XVIII of 1995, i.e. The West Bengal Minorities’ Development and Finance Corporation Act, 1995.The Corporation has taken up various schemes for Economic Welfare, Scholarships, vocational training, mass awareness and career counseling which are running successfully for persons belonging to the notified religious minority Communities i.e., Muslim/Christian/Buddhist/Sikh/Jain and Parsee for their economic upliftment.
Scholarship is given to meritorious minority students for pursuing studies from class XI to Post-graduation level in regular courses including Diploma (Polytechnic), Diploma in Pharmacy, B.Ed, DLED, etc.
Receiving of online application will be co-terminus with that of West Bengal Higher Education department (WBHED) every year. SCHOLARSHIP BENEFIT Upto Rs. 60,000/-
