Applications are invited for Post Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities by Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. The last date of application is December 31, 2023.
Education plays a pivotal role in socio-economic empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. Recognizing its crucial role, the Directive Principles of State Policy in the Constitution of India and the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 have underlined the role of the State in realization of the Right to Education for Persons with Disabilities.
To fulfill these mandates, the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of India is implementing “Scheme of Scholarships for Students with Disabilities”.
Post- Matric Scholarship will be given for study of all recognized postmatriculation or post-secondary courses (upto Master degree level) pursued in recognized institutions/Universities.
17,000 (including renewal cases).
XI, XII, Postmatriculation Diploma/Certificates, Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in India, Master’s Degree/ Diploma from any University recognized by UGC/AICTE.
Rs. 2.5 lakh (per annum).
