It is meant for students who want to study, research, or an internship outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
This scholarship is meant for UT students intending to study abroad. For scholarships for degree-seeking students intending to study at the UT, please visit the Scholarship Finder.
The NL Scholarship is available for students of the UT who want to study, do research or do an internship outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
There is a limited number of NL Scholarships available. Each faculty can allocate a small amount of grants. Please check with your Exchange/Internship Coordinator if NL Scholarship is still available for your faculty.
The contribution towards your study/internship expenses is a total amount of €2,500 paid in full before departure (approx. Rs. 2.2L).
UT recommends that you apply for the scholarship at least 2 months before you plan to go abroad. Your scholarship application (the ‘before the mobility’ section in Mobility-Online) must be finalised two weeks before departure.
After you register your stay abroad in Mobility-Online and answer the scholarship question, a scholarship will automatically be allocated to you. You can not specifically apply for a specific scholarship; scholarships are allocated by the scholarship officer based on availability and eligibility. If you are eligible for more than one scholarship, the scholarship with the highest scholarship amount will be allocated (depending on availability).
A limited number of scholarships is available!
The UT does not provide financial support for study/internship in areas or countries considered unsafe (in Dutch: ‘onveilig’) by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Scholarship Office reserves the right to deny your NL Scholarship application based on additional safety information. For detailed information (in Dutch) about the safety of countries worldwide, please visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website (link below). Keep in mind that a study/internship abroad is always considered a non-essential trip.
