Applications are invited for Indus Towers Scholarship Program 2024 for Students with Disabilities. The last date of application is June 17, 2024.
A CSR initiative of Indus Towers Ltd, the Indus Towers Scholarship Program is implemented by Shishu Sarothi Centre for Rehabilitation and Training for Multiple Disabilities. Since its inception in 2016, the program has reached out to 824 scholars.
The Indus Towers Scholarship Program 2024-25 is dedicated to empowering youth with disabilities from the North-East Region by providing scholarships for relevant and in-demand vocational skills that facilitate sustainable livelihoods. This initiative is designed to support individuals who are eager to engage in vocational and skill-based activities that lead to employment or self-employment opportunities.
By focusing on practical and market-oriented training, the program aims to equip these youth with the necessary skills to achieve economic independence by supporting them to pursue certificate and diploma courses ranging from 3 months to 1 year, with a maximum fee support of Rs. 70,000 each for 70 youth from Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Nagaland.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Applicants must be willing to pursue or be currently pursuing full-time Vocational Training & Skill Building Courses, preferably recognized under Sector Skills and by NCVET (National Council for Vocational Education and Training) in the following categories:
