CREST International Spell Bee (Winter) is India’s first Online Spelling Assessment for classes 1-8 which assesses students on the basis of Meaning, Spelling and Pronunciation of the words in the English language. Hence, it will help students to foster their lexical development which forms the basis of the English language.

The exam consists of two sections:

CSBW exam duration	For Grades 1-8: 60 minutes
Type of questions	Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) + Audio Based Questions

The CREST International Spell Bee (Winter) syllabus is available on the website for grades 1-8. The exam syllabus consists of interesting sections like Word Puzzle, Word Twins, Word Fusion, Back to the Roots, Spell-probe, Jumble Tumble, etc. Students must follow the prescribed syllabus to ensure better marks in the exam.

Spell Bee words list for grades 1-8 is also available on the syllabus page. The word list serves as the foundation for many questions and between 70-80% of the questions will originate from it.

Each section in the syllabus of the CREST International Spelling Bee (Winter) has its own set of marking standards. The number of questions to be asked from each section varies for every grade. The exam dates for CREST International Spell Bee Competition (Winter) (CSBW) for the Academic Year 2023-24 are as given below:

Level 1 exam dates	January 9, 2024 January 20, 2024
Last date for registration	It is advisable to register for the exam before December.
Level 1 answer key dates	January 24 to 25, 2024
Level 1 result date	Generally, the results are announced within a month’s time after the last answer key date

The exam fee is INR 225 for students studying and enrolling from India. For students studying and residing outside of India, the fee is country-specific.

CREST Olympiads announce exciting awards worth USD 530,000. There are awards for the top 50% of the students participating in the CREST Olympiads exams. CREST Olympiads recognize students with Gift Vouchers, Merit Certificates, Trophies, Medals, ‘Honorable mention’ Digital Certificates, etc. for their accomplishment in the CREST Olympiads exams.
