National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) (Hindi: राष्ट्रीय शैक्षिक अनुसंधान और प्रशिक्षण परिषद) is an autonomous organisation of Ministry of Education, the Government of India. Established in 1961, it is a literary, scientific and charitable Society under the Societies Registration Act. Its headquarters are located at Sri Aurbindo Marg in New Delhi. Dr. Dinesh Prasad Saklani is the director of NCERT since 2022.
In 2023, NCERT constituted a 19-member committee, including author and Infosys Foundation chair Sudha Murthy, singer Shankar Mahadevan, and Manjul Bhargava to finalize the curriculum, textbooks and learning material for classes 3 to 12.
The Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India, is excited to announce a new chapter for its e-magazine, Sapnon ki Udaan. Originally launched on 23rd August 2024, Sapnon ki Udaan has provided a vibrant platform for students and teachers to express their creativity and imagination.
Beginning May 2025, the e-magazine will now be published every month, offering even more opportunities for showcasing talent across the nation!
