Applications are invited for YLAC Summer Programs 2025 (High School Achievers & High School Achievers Impact).
Founded in 2016, Young Leaders for Active Citizenship (YLAC) aims to increase the participation of young people in the policymaking process and build their capacity to lead change.
YLAC is back with its flagship programs this summer. The High School Achievers (HSA) Program will run in Bengaluru and Delhi this year, and the Young Researchers for Social Impact (YRSI) Program will be run online.
The High School Achievers (HSA) is a one-of-a-kind leadership program for India’s most promising students to help them become active agents of change in society. It is a unique opportunity for students to broaden their perspective, build critical thinking skills, interact with thought leaders and hone their leadership potential. Modeled as a week-long bootcamp, HSA will run in Bengaluru and Delhi this year.
The Young Researchers for Social Impact (YRSI) program is a month-long online engagement designed to immerse talented high school students in live research projects with YLAC’s partner organizations. Students are carefully selected, trained and mentored over a period of five weeks to build their capacity as critical thinkers and problem solvers. Projects concern contemporary issues in fields such as environment, gender, education, global health and governance.
