Registrations are invited for Workshop in Painting, Printing and Sculpture at Lalit Kala Akademi, Lucknow. The last date of registration is July 18, 2023.
The Lalit Kala Akademi or National Academy of Art (LKA) is India’s national academy of fine arts. It is an autonomous organisation, established in New Delhi in 1954 by Government of India to promote and propagate understanding of Indian art, in and outside the country.
Lalit Kala Akademi, the youngest of the three Akademies founded by Govt. of India, establishes to direct its focus on activities in the field of Visual Arts. In his inaugural speech Maulana Abul Kalam had stated “The Akademi must work to preserve the glorious traditions of the past and enrich them by the work of our modern artists.’ Akademi has preserved and documented a permanent collection of the highest order that reflects the vitality, complexity and unfolding patterns of contemporary, modern, folk and tribal art in India.
LKA provides scholarships and a fellow program, and sponsors and organises exhibitions in India and overseas. It publishes a bilingual journal. It is funded by the Union Ministry of Culture. Its headquarters are at Ravindra Bhawan, Ferozshah Road, New Delhi.
Workshop in painting, printing and sculpture will be organized at Lalit Kala Akademi, Regional Center, Lucknow from 21 to 27 July, 2023, artists/students interested to participate in the workshop should register themselves at Regional Center, Lucknow by July 18, 2023.
