The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national-level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by the Government of India. Established in 1929 by a resolution of the government, the Board was an experiment towards inter-state integration and cooperation in the sphere of secondary education.
Swami Vivekananda, known as Narendranath in his earlier years, worked tirelessly towards the betterment of society, dedicating his all to his country. He founded the Ramakrishna Mission on May 1, 1897, at Belur Math near Calcutta. He spread his message of universal brotherhood and self-awakening which remains relevant even today, especially in the current backdrop of widespread turmoil around the world.
The CBSE is organizing a webinar on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a prolific thinker, great orator, and one of India’s most celebrated spiritual leaders.
The Webinar is based on Webinar on “Swami Vivekanand’s Teachings: Relevance for Today’s Students”.
His teachings and his words have become goals of self-improvement, especially for the youth
of the country. For this very reason, his birthday, January 12, is celebrated as the National
Youth Day in India.
