The Regional Institute of English South India (RIESI), Bengaluru was founded in June 1963 with the broad objective of improving standards of English language teaching in the five southern states of India viz., Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The Regional Institute of English South India will be conducting a post graduate diploma course in english language teaching in distance mode. The course aims to help the candidates to:

In addition to the above, students will be required to engage themselves in supervised and assessed practice teaching when they attend the final contact programme.
There will be two compulsory contact programmes. The first round of programme will be for 3 working days in the month of October 2023 through online and the Second round of programme will be for 22 working days in the month of April / May 2024 through off line including the final examination and teaching practice.

A candidate is given four years to complete the course. In case he / she fails to do so, he / she has to get re-admission to the course.
