Participation is invited for the Chalo Museum Chalein Responsible Citizenship Challenge by Udaan Youth Club, a global initiative on World Museum Day 2025.
At Udaan Youth Club, we believe that true change starts from within. We are a self-organized collective of young minds, using the power of information and communication technology to spark social change. Our goal is simple but ambitious: to contribute to a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) by 2047 while weaving the threads of the Sustainable Development Goals into the fabric of everyday life.
Under the presidency of Vivekananda Youth Awardee Aman Kumar, Udaan Youth Club doesn’t just talk about change—we live it. We are affiliated with organizations like Nehru Yuva Kendra Baghpat, Mera Yuva Bharat, Vigyan Prasar, and the Ministry of Tourism, working together to build a society where the youth aren’t just spectators but active contributors to India’s growth and legacy.
In a world that often races forward, it’s easy to forget where we came from. But understanding our past, honoring our heritage, and learning from the stories of those who came before us is what gives us a sense of purpose and direction for the future.
This is why we’ve come together to launch the “Chalo Museum Chalein – Responsible Citizenship Challenge,” a global initiative on World Museum Day 2025. This isn’t just about stepping into a museum—it’s about stepping into the heart of our shared history, embracing the values of responsible citizenship, and becoming active participants in preserving what matters most.
Lately, we’ve seen fewer and fewer people walking through the doors of museums, places that hold the keys to understanding who we are and where we come from. This is a trend we can no longer ignore. It’s not just about numbers or statistics; it’s about a moral duty—our duty to appreciate, protect, and pass on the beauty of our collective past. Each visit to a museum doesn’t just unlock knowledge; it fosters responsibility, encourages respect for heritage, and nurtures the idea that being a responsible citizen starts with understanding the world around us.
By participating in this challenge, we’re asking you to join us in reclaiming the power of our heritage, to be part of a movement that celebrates our culture, history, and values. When we appreciate the good—when we see the stories of struggle, success, and resilience in the walls of museums—we not only honor the past but shape the future.
So, we invite you—no matter where you are in the world—to join us on this journey of discovery, reflection, and action. Let’s come together, explore our history, celebrate our culture, and most importantly, be the change we want to see in the world. Every step you take inside a museum is a step toward responsible citizenship. It’s a step toward a better future for all of us.
