CBSE has released a notification on Book Fairs being organised by National Book Trust in different parts of the country.
Books have long been a gateway to knowledge, imagination, and creativity. They are not just a source of information but also a means of fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and empathy. Recognizing the importance of books in shaping young minds, the National Book Trust (NBT) India is organizing a series of book fairs across the country. These fairs offer a unique opportunity for students, teachers, and book lovers to immerse themselves in the world of literature, connect with authors, and discover new books.
Each of these book fairs features a dedicated children’s corner, where various creative and fun learning activities are organized. These activities are designed to enhance the learning experience outside the traditional classroom setting, aligning with the concept of ‘bagless days’ in schools. Students can participate in storytelling sessions, art and craft workshops, and interactive discussions, making the book fair an enriching experience.
Here’s a list of the upcoming book fairs planned by the National Book Trust India:
Chinar Book Festival, Srinagar (J&K)
Shillong Book Fair, Meghalaya
Gomti Book Festival, Uttar Pradesh
Sambalpur Book Fair, Odisha
Ahmedabad Book Fair, Gujarat
Pune Book Festival, Maharashtra
New Delhi World Book Fair-2025
Schools are requested to share this information with students and teachers, and motivate them to make the most of these enriching events. The book fairs are a wonderful chance to connect with literature, meet like-minded individuals, and take part in activities that inspire creativity and learning.
