Sahitya Akademi is inviting submissions for its bi-monthly journal, Indian Literature, on a rolling basis. Submit yours today!
The Sahitya Akademi, India’s National Academy of Letters, is an organisation dedicated to the promotion of literature in the languages of India.
Founded on 12 March 1954, it is supported by, though independent of, the Indian government. Its office is located in Rabindra Bhavan near Mandi House in Delhi.
Indian Literature, Sahitya Akademi’s bimonthly journal, is India’s oldest journal featuring translations in English of poetry, fiction, drama and criticism from twenty-three Indian languages besides original writing in English.
They strive to feature the best of Indian literature and Indian writers in our journal, old as well as new. There is hardly any significant Indian author who has not been featured in the pages of this 65-year-old journal.
