About the Webinar

The ever-evolving legal landscape has recently seen significant changes in the new penal code, reflecting a shift in how criminal justice is approached in modern society. The new penal code introduces a variety of significant changes designed to address the evolving needs of our modern society.

To shed light on these crucial developments, Dayananda Sagar University (DSU) is organising a thought-provoking webinar titled A Missed Opportunity or a Comprehensive Legislation?

This session led by renowned industry stalwarts seeks to explore the recent amendments to the penal code, offering a critical analysis of the newly added provisions and examining the potential implications of removing certain existing clauses from the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Perfect for young students interested in law, criminal justice, and new legislation.

The session will explore the rationale behind these changes, assessing whether they represent a comprehensive advancement in legal standards or if they overlook important aspects, potentially missing key opportunities for enhancement.
