National Science Seminar 2024 for School Students is being organised by National Council of Science Museums. The seminar will be held on November 26, 2024.
National Council of Science Museums is an autonomous scientific organization functioning under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India for science communication through its network of science museums or science centres spread across India.
It is the largest chain of science centers/museums under a single administrative umbrella in the world. There are 24 own science centers or museums and one R & D laboratory and training centre. The NCSM has been built to co-ordinate all informal science communication activities in the museum space in the country.
National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) organizes the annual ‘Students Science Seminar’ every year. School students studying in class VIII to X can participate in this competitive event. The objective of the Science Seminar is to inculcate a spirit of scientific enquiry and analytical thinking in the minds of young students.
The Science Seminar is organized in collaboration with Education Departments and Department of Science & Technology of various states and UT on a competitive basis in each State and Union Territory of the Country. The Science Seminar is deliberated generally at School, Block, District, State and National level.
Students from different Schools participate at Block level. Winners of Block level participate at District level Competition. Two winners from each District participate in State/UT level contest and only one winner from each State/Union Territory is eligible for National level competition.
This year the topic is ‘Artificial Intelligence : Potentials & Concerns’.
The National Science Seminar will be conducted at NSC, Mumbai on 26th November, 2024. Students from all the States & UTs of India along with their escorts will participate in the seminar.
