National Education Policy reiterates in its clause Para 24.2 & 24, about the optimisation of the use of existing digital platforms and on-going ICT-based educational initiatives to meet the current and future challenges in providing quality education for all.
It is also stated that the benefits of online/digital education cannot be leveraged unless the digital divide is eliminated through concerted efforts, such as the Digital India campaign and the availability of affordable computing devices.
It is important that the use of technology for online and digital education adequately addresses concerns of equity. To realize the potential of digital technology and plan its implementation, it is essential to orient various stakeholders of school education.
In this context, CIET-NCERT is organizing five hours online training on “Leveraging Digital Technology for Schools and Teacher Education” from November 6 to 10, 2023 from 4 to 5 PM.
The sessions will shed light on major digital initiatives for School and Teacher Education in India to strengthen the knowledge base of various stakeholders involved in school education, including teachers, students and administrators.
The online training will be live telecast on the official YouTube channel of CBSE and also be simulcast through PM eVidya TV Channel. The participants who appear in the post training quiz, score 70% and above will be issued a certificate of participation.
All other information regarding this event including registration, participation and certification is accessible here.
All Principals/Heads of schools affiliated to CBSE are requested to disseminate the information amongst all teachers and students of their respective schools and encourage them for participation in the programme and take the benefit through it.
