The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by the Government of India. Established in 1929 by a resolution of the government, the Board was an experiment towards inter-state integration and cooperation in the sphere of secondary education. There are more than 27,000 schools in India and 240 schools in 28 foreign countries affiliated to the CBSE.

The Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) initiative, launched by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, aims to develop human resources for a safe, trusted, and secure cyberspace. The ISEA Project Phase-III adopts a targeted approach to promote cybersecurity and privacy practices. The Cyber Aware Digital Naagrik (Mass Awareness) program seeks to empowers individuals with essential cybersecurity skills, fostering safer digital practices.

As a part of this initiative, a web portal https://www[dot]staysafeonline[dot]in has been developed to cover emerging areas in cybersecurity. It includes activities such as quizzes, competitions like Drawing/Painting, Cartoon Storyboard, Reels/Shorts, Slogan Writing, Cyber Awareness Tale: Character-driven storytelling, Short Awareness videos/ Short Film, Technical Papers, My Success Story: Thanks to Digital Nagrik to boost engagement and enhance learning.

CIET-NCERT vide mail dated 6 December, 2024 has informed about the National-level Cybersecurity Awareness Competitions on Safer Internet Day as part of ISEA Program initiative. The details of the program are attached with the circular.
